carrots

my mom just called me today..

mak: makan ape malam nih??

me:masak bubur nasi

mak: bubur nasi kosong ke letak ayam?

me: letak ayam n carrot

mak: macam baby food mak bagi nur dulu..doctor sampai kate baby dah kuning..die suruh kurangkan carrot

owh..never did i know my mom used to feed me chicken porridge with carrot..no wonder i like to make my porridge plain with chicken and carrot..but the irony is that i don't like carrots..i'm force feeding myself with carrots..

since i'm doing this feeding practices presentation..i keep on thinking about mashed food..baby food..thats why i cooked bubur nasi for today..an excellent weaning food for baby..the book says that weaning food should be something that the family eats..but it should not be spicy and use less salt..this is so that the child will be accustomed to the family tradition..its economical too..if possible artificial baby food should be avoided..

and today in clinics we discussed on how to differentiate between hypercarotenemia and jaundice..jaundice involves the eye and other parts of the body..hypercarotenemia does not involve the eyes but stains other parts of the body..

i was one of the baby with excess vitamin A..but my vision is not excellent..i wore glasses since 6 years old i think..better myopic than blind..

anyway i find that me being myopic has its advantages..for me laa..i wouldn't even consider doing lasik and i prefer to wear glasses .. i have my personal reasons..those who know me well will understand..
