limp..

tuesday was my unlucky day..

i finished my work early..did something i regret..then went home and ordered dominos for lunch..anyway wasn't feeling like cooking that day..

then suddenly my doorbell rang..i was the only one at home..and it was kinda early for the domino guy to arrive..so i ran to the balcony to see if it was the domino guy..as i was running, i banged my foot on the door..and my god it hurts like anything..

so i was limping to the door to get my pizza..after he left i put the pizza away and looked at my toe..my little toe to be exact..the pain was so bad..and my toe was looking weird..it was slightly away from the other toe..and it was bluish red..

in the end..because of the pain i forgot about my pizza..and elevated my foot and lie down..after sometime i went to the hospital..after seeing the dr and taking x-ray..there was a fracture on the prox.phalanx..he advised me to do buddy strapping and not bear weight on that toe..

fracture of the small toe won't immobilize you..pain will be there but u can still manage doing daily work upto an extent..so there i was in the hospital the next day continuing my work with a limp..one of my patients was kind enough to ask what happened to me..she even wanted to touch my foot and see..i immediately raised my foot behind me and told her not to touch..even the cleaners the nurses were asking what happened to me..

i was limping all around the hospital..doing dressings, removing sutures, taking bp, drawing blood..with the drug the doctor gave me the pain is bearable..but if i involuntarily move that toe..my god the pain..thats just a fracture on the small toe..fracture on other bones must be more painful..this is my first fracture ..heh..
