the outcome..

just finished typing my pg's seminar stuff..hmmm...

anyway..just updating the previous entry..
well remember about my 1st time suturing and taking skin graft??  well today was the day we all awaited for..meaning me and my surgery unit..the day dressing was opened for the first time after the operation..

lucky me!! my skin graft took up..healing nicely..and my suturing turned out nice..heh..skin is well approximated..my prof told me my graft is better than what my senior prof did..heh..it must be luck obviously..

my other patient whose half of his hand is almost gone, after twice daily dressing for 1 week already by me..his hand is now looking much much more better..slough is gone..wound bleeding nicely..happy to see that..despite the patient screaming and kicking while i did the dressing he is also happy to hear that his hand can be saved afterall..of course he will cry in pain..betadine and peroxide on his exposed muscle..we try to ease his pain by giving pain killers..

when i tell these stories to my mom..she will tell me " cube kalo nur sendiri kene..sure menjerit" hehe.. yeah i know mak..i've been a patient before..i've suffered through the pain..sometimes painkillers don't even help..and another thing.. they require some time to kick in...i've cried myself to sleep because of the pain..but somethings must be done..like my prof said to a patient : we can't bring u to ot for GA everytime for changing dressing..frequent GA isn't good..
