curious

internship is a new chapter of my life - the typical statement

but for real it is..i am exposed to a whole new world..i am rarely posted with a malaysian..RARELY..let alone the malays..NEVER..i say hi and bye when we bump into each other in the hospital..but thats it..

being the only malaysian and a muslim girl in my posting..i've been asked a lot of questions..they are really curious about us..they have their own perception..but once they get to know us they like us..

1.the age question
2.the how much does ur government pay u
3.why do u wear a scarf
4.isn't it hot to wear a scarf
5.why u can't wear nail polish
6.how do u wear ur scarf?? mine is easy..the instant one..
7.why don't u wear a burkha
8.who cooks for u
9.what food do u eat
10.when will u get married - because here muslim girls get married at 20-23.arranged marriage.actually most of the indian marriage are arranged.
11.will there be a guy who will marry u that late?? hmm..
12.do u have a boyfriend- how can ppl not that close to me casually ask me that kind of question?? twice i was asked this by two different ppl
13.is there no medical college in malaysia
14.why did u choose to come to india - of course it was not my choice..
15.can i call u BINTI??yup one of my pg calls me this..eventhough he knows what binti means and he knows that everyone else including the prof calls me nur..weird ~

i don't mind them asking me questions..u get to know a person better..but some stuff are private whom i share with my close friends only and how can u ask one who u have just known for say 2 days private things??

nevertheless..i've made new friends..they are really nice once u get to know them..i practically hangout, have lunch, coffee with them.. since we're posted together and bound to stay at the hospital till at least 5pm..

but i still hangout with my dearest friends..we find time to have fun together..
no matter how busy u are there is still time for family n friends..u are the one who decides whether to have it or not..
