today

what i did today..

had an up and down day today..i had to man the surgery opd since my pg and prof was in a mortality and morbidity meeting..did'nt do much..saw some patients and told them to wait..

at 1pm had a minor OT..excision of sebaceous cyst..assisted but again didn't do much..i thought i might get the skin but then sir told to do subcuticular..of course i wouldn't be allowed to do it..felt sad that time..

OT finished around 1.45pm, went back for a quick lunch since i had to be back in opd at 2.15 but i was there by around 2.30..anyway no patients..i was all alone i the profs ac room..felt like sleeping since the ambience was nice..

had to do BK amputation dressing today..after finishing that my back felt like it was gonna crack in two..i had to dress his stump and i also had to support his limb..my shoulders are aching..sister was not much of a help..

then during evening rounds, i got to remove the staples from one patient's neck..she came in for just a swelling in the neck..we removed the LN and biopsy report shows non-hodgkins lymphoma..felt sorry for the patient..

then a funny question was asked to me..from a guy..my pg.."do i look fat in these clothes?".. i thot only girls ask that kind of question..he was showing me that his shirt was too big..his pants should be a wee bit tighter..

now i'm back from work writing in my blog of what i did today..
