a lot happened

22nd may 2010, is a day for me to remember

1. mak's birthday
2. one of my icu patient died at 3am
3. rained heavily just as i was about to go to work
4. air crash in mangalore airport - nearly 160 died, 8 survive
5. casualty in the hospital was very busy - had to show my id, only then they allowed me to enter the casualty area
6. had to take over PG's job in the ward - he was involved in the search n rescue mission
7. did my first local for incision and drainage procedure and first incision on an awake patient

a summary of my day today..eventhough i wasn't at the crash site, i feel like i'm in shock..the chaos at the hospital showed it all..only dead bodies were being brought to the hospital..most of them were beyond recognition..all the doctors were on stand by at the ER..u can hear the sirens everywhere..ambulance kept coming and going.. i felt like i was in "greys anatomy"..but life must go on..this is only the beginning..
